Management team



Richard Jones, Chief Executive Officer
Richard joined TransSend in April 2007 and is responsible for strategic direction and management of the prepaid solutions business.

Prior to joining TransSend Richard took his last company, Brightside Group, through a successful AIM listing, acting as Commercial Director. Previously Richard has worked for a number of blue chip pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKilne, AstraZeneca and Pfizer. His role within these organisations was varied and incorporated sales, marketing and financial responsibilities, as well as country and general management. At GlaxoSmithKline he was appointed to the role of Regional Commercial Director with responsibility for a block of 15 central and eastern European countries.


John Tottenham, Chief Operating Officer
John Tottenham joined in April 2007 and is responsible for prepaid operations and programme delivery.

Following a successful career in the Royal Navy, including command of a Trident nuclear submarine, John spent over five years in Risk and Internal Audit with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. He brings a wealth of operational, risk and change management experience to the team.


David Lewis, Finance Director

David is a chartered Accountant, and alumni of Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He holds a first degree in Economics from Manchester University together with master and doctorate degrees from London University. He has been a Finance Director of both Barclays and NatWest Bank consumer finance subsidiaries and most recently General Manager of John Deer Bank Luxembourg, where he was instrumental in establishing the bank in the major European jurisdictions, utilizing the provision of the second bank co-ordination directive.


Neil Caldwell, Head of Sales
Neil joined TransSend in July 2007 and is responsible for the delivery of the Sales Operating Plan and commercial offering.

Prior to joining TransSend, Neil spent ten years working for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in a variety of roles, from commercial analyst responsible for the delivery of the UK Business to Regional Business Manager, where he was responsible for the GSK Portfolio Sales within the Midlands Region. In 2004 Neil joined Takeda UK as an Account Director responsible for all elements of commercial profitability.


Alastair Graham, Head of Marketing

Alastair Graham joined TransSend in May 2007 and is responsible for marketing branding, corporate communication and public relations.

Alastair has 12 years' experience in sales and marketing initially, working for leading blue chip companies, before specialising in corporate branding and redesign. He has developed significant expertise in delivering market leading campaigns and was responsible for the campaign that led to the ""Grand Designs"" award for his company. He established a number of successful businesses before joining TransSend.


Justin Fraser, Head of Business Integration

Justin joined TransSend in May 2007 and is responsible for business integration and client management. Beginning his career in hardware sales for what was then Compaq, Justin then transitioned over to software sales, with the last eight years focusing in the payments sector. His roles ranged from credit card risk profiling applications through to full EMV and PCI certified managed service contracts for major high street brands such as Mitchells and Butlers group, Tragus, Alliance Pharmacy and JD Sports.

Prior to joining TransSend, Justin spent a year as Head of Payments for Unibet, the large publicly listed online gaming operator, where he managed multiple payment systems across 25 countries, with responsibility for over £20 million in deposits per month.


Robin Briggs, Head of Risk and Compliance
Robin has over 20 years' experience managing cross-border payment business and major projects with the NatWest Group, including assignments in Paris, Brussels and Hong Kong.  Since 2000 he has worked in Senior Management Risk and Compliance roles for mobile, e-wallet, and prepaid card companies with clients in the Far East, the Americas and the extended European Union where this activity has included the set up and running of Sterling and Euro ACH, as well as delivering Card Scheme pilot projects.
